A soldier, returning home from Iraq, protests the war by walking the length of his home state, Utah, the reddest state in the nation. During this 500-mile peace walk, he endures sleet, snow, government intimidation, stereotypes, and blisters. But along the way, his patriotism is renewed as he meets like-minded people from across the country who join him in his quest, and while not bringing immediate peace to Iraq, they at least bring peace to him.
